What are traditional locs?

Traditional locs, also known as dreadlocks or simply locs, are a hairstyle created by sectioning the hair and allowing it to naturally mat and lock over time. Here are some key characteristics of traditional locs:

1. **Formation**: Traditional locs are usually formed by either comb coils, instant locs or two strand twisting the hair. As time passes, the sections of hair continue to mat and lock together, forming rope-like strands.

2. **Maintenance**: Regular maintenance is required to keep locs neat and healthy. This includes retwisting the new growth, washing, and moisturizing the hair to prevent dryness and breakage.

3. **Length and Size**: The length and size of traditional locs can vary greatly, depending on personal preference and hair type. They can be thin and delicate or thick and chunky.
